Solace explores the tension between a self-defined identity and that imposed by an external structure. The dancers seek to explore and define themselves in this world, while negotiating the awareness of being seen. Choreography functions as ritual and reflects natural cycles that persist whether consciously chosen or unconsciously enacted. Through repetition and constraint, the work considers how endurance, memory, and emotional presence can offer moments of solace.
